Op een zwoele zomerdag fladderde de vlinder van bloem naar bloem en koesterde zich in de namiddagzon. De vlinder was druk bezig met zich vooral nergens druk om te maken, toen er opeens een schaduw over haar heen gleed. De vlinder keek op en zag het mooiste vliegende wezen dat ze ooit had gezien.

De haas was er vandoor geweest en kwam nu weer thuis. Hij zoefde het dierenbos binnen en liep bijna tegen de dromedaris op die juist bezig was aan een lange wandeling en daarbij een vrolijk wijsje zong.
